VisionTrax
Track your visual acuity trends over time
About
VisionTrax is a Windows desktop application for self-administered eye acuity testing. It displays randomized Sloan letter charts across 22 LogMAR acuity levels (20/10 through 20/1250) and records results for each eye separately. Over time, it builds a picture of how your vision is trending so you can walk into your next eye appointment with useful data to share with your doctor.
Important Disclaimer
VisionTrax is not medical software. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace a professional eye examination. Results will vary based on lighting, screen calibration, distance, and many other factors a clinical setting controls for. Think of it as a personal journal for your vision — a tool to help you spot trends between appointments, not an absolute measurement. Always consult your eye care professional for clinical decisions.

- Trend charts showing best daily acuity for each eye with auto-scaling axes
- Keyboard, gamepad (XInput), and mouse input support
- Text-to-speech letter pronunciation and audio feedback
- CSV export for sharing data with your eye care provider
- Automatic display calibration for accurate letter sizing
How It Works
On first launch, VisionTrax walks you through a quick calibration step to make sure letters display at the correct physical size on your screen. Once calibrated, sit 5 feet from your monitor and work through the randomized letter chart. The app records your responses, logs the acuity level reached for each eye, and saves everything locally in a JSON file. Over multiple sessions, the built-in chart visualizes your trends so you can see at a glance whether things are stable, improving, or changing.
Getting Started
